very nice. quick tip to avoid that crater in the alum, taper off slowly and away from the center of the puddle.
That crater almost always cracks if not filled

Looks good Hoochhenry ^^^^Did you get a pedal yet? For your machine? And yea aluminum has a bunch of surface tension. Abruptly ending the weld will cause the craters. Let off slowly and move the tungsten around in a circle. This will help.

Modified some Valve covers for a J37 into a DA Integra. To run a Breather set-up. Customer has a built motor and is shooting for 700whp on nitrous.

Weld lab retraining at work. 3g up mig pulse. Had to bend test 1 1/2 strips off each side which booth root pass and cover pass passed. Got best weld last week lol. Sorry pic sucks. If your wondering y it says 2g I wrote it wrong.

Hi, does someone know a cause of these dark arease around the weld area? After welding it is nice and clean but after two or three days these dark areas will apear. First picture is taken just after welding and there is no dark areas. These are my first manifolds and I dont know what Im doing wrong. Im using green 3M scotch brite sheet to get smooth surface and then proper acetone wash with cloth. I think it may be wrong preparation but I have tried everything and nothing helped still.
