I finally have something I feel is worth posting in here.

This is the start of the water/meth tank I'm making for my car. I've got a ways to go on it, but I'm really happy with how it's turning out. I just started TIG welding about 2 months ago, and have been learning mostly with 16 ga aluminum scrap. This is my first real project and is 0.100" 6061 aluminum.

Foot shear for the thin stuff(.125 and under). Skill saw with a carbide tipped blade for anything thicker.

I have been trying to determine how i wanted to do more than just tube cuts which are more than just flat plane and a standard disc grinder just melts the aluminum instead of cutting it (.125") and was looking for an easier solution

I have an older sears vertical table bandsaw I picked up used for like $120. It cuts through .120" like butter and I have cut up to 1.5" by 1.5" solid bar. I only use it for AL.

More practice and getting better daily. Middle beads done today. Top was done freehand and has a stop/restart in the middle. Bottom was done with the help of the tig finger and has a stop/restart in the same place. Tig finger allowed me to gain control of my movement and I got a little more comfortable maneuvering around the pipe. Bead consistency picked up big time. Everything went great until I got to the end to joint the welds and I hit the tungsten. Grrrrr!!
