Honda Accord turbo kit I am working, very different than most :) (Pic Heavy)
Here is what I been working on every weekend after work for a customer.
He wanted the turbo placement to be away from the fans/radiator, and also just wanted it to be unique and different than everyone else. This maintains A/C and Powersteering with a full core radiator and aftermarket traction bar.
All I have left is to wait for the BOV to arrive, plumb the oil lines, and tune it
Feel free to ask any questions.
Definitely has been a fun build.
As of 2/4/2011:
(Sorry for the rushed pictures)

Good call man. I went from my S200 to the 200DX because I needed the portability and use of a 110V outlet. But the 350DX is the ticket man. Nice work on the accord. Definitely different and clean.

root pass just to ensure full penetration. That is just a fusion weld as well...shows his joint was totally butted together (i.e. good fitment).

Whoa is that a sch pipe cross over tube? Why would you feel the need to build such a heavy cross over tube? I mean it's different but i can't see how this is a good idea.
Also why did you run such a large cross over tube anyways. I would be very concerned about it's size in relation to that engine's flow capabilities and the turbine's flow capacity. the downpipe is also oddly small for such overly built manifolding.

Looking good! What turbo did the customer decide to use?...I don't see many "on center" turbine housings used nowadays.

Huh? The oil return? Really nothing out of the ordinary.

why wouldn't you have made a larger header? since there is tons of room. people usually make the manifold like that as a compromise. IMO you could have easily had a much more efficient (hp per psi) setup by running larger primaries especially since the turbo isn't directly in front of the engine taking up space.
other than that nice looking setup. going to do a headlight intake?

That intercooler isn't setup to have both the inlet and outlet on one side. Its not going to travel the distance of the cooler.. You have to separate the bottom from the top.

We bought it this way. Its divided 'inside' the endtanks. There is a block off piece.
But thanks though for the concern and pointing it out. He had another car with this, and.... it worked. So yeah.

nice job! I like it very much. What about bracing? Are you worried about premature cracking? I'm sure you have thought of this. I had a similar setup and did the same thing you did and built it all out of schedule 40. Held up pretty good but the vibrations did cause premature cracking on the up-pipe.

Beautiful welds, What about the plastic bits in front by the bumper near the cooler? They look a bit close to the inlet pipe =(.
Nice fab work!
