Discount on Welders/plasma cutters
Since I've bought a decent amount of products from longevity and had good luck I'm passing along my discount.
20% off on welders and plasma cutters (not on the $149 stick welder)
I did a few unboxing and reviews if you care to see them

Simply email my sales rep and tell him what you are interested in and you have to say "gamble" sent you or else you get no discount.

I wouldn't share this if they were crap. In fact here are the items I have from them.
Longevity 160sx tig/stick (110v/220v)
Longevity 200ex tig/stick (220v)
Longevity 140 mig with spool gun (110v)
I am not affiliated with them and don't get anything from this, just sharing my discount with you. If you guys are in Chicago you are welcome to try out any of my machines to compare them.
Here is what I have in addition to the longevity stuff
thermal arc 186
hobart handler 140 mig
htp 221 mig
I can tell you my next purchase is going to be the longevity forcecut 42i. With the discount its just over $800 and will severe 1" steel
This guy did a few videos on it and seems to love it
I'm also working on getting a upgraded torch (ck9 and ck superflex hose) with custom fitting to fit the 160sx, 200sx, and eastwood tig welders.

Re: Discount on Welders/plasma cutters
Even the plasma cutter at harbor freight is $649 .
They are expensive in general. Look at the force cut 42i and email for a quote. That machine is amazing!!!

Re: Discount on Welders/plasma cutters
Depends on the plasma cutter. Some use more air than others. Hypertherm requires 6.0scfm at 90psi. Others can run on 40-90psi. I'd say a GOOD 20+ gallon. It's more about the output of the compressor rather than the volume.

Re: Discount on Welders/plasma cutters
Why do I get the feeling that the naming of certain Chinese welders is an oxymoron...
On a slightly different note, how do you like your TA186? I ask because I have one and love it, but I'm also not a fabricator by any stretch. Judging by your assortment, I'd say you use yours a lot more than I use mine. I know very little about welders, but from what I was reading prior to purchasing it, it seemed like about the best you could do for under $2000 just in comparing features and company history.

Re: Discount on Welders/plasma cutters
Personally the sample rate takes some getting used to. If you roll on or off the pedal too fast you notice it. Just takes some getting used to.
Also I feel this unit puts more heat into a work piece that maybe it should.
I did a 1/8" coupon on this and one on the longevity 200ex and the coupons on the 186 pulled up a good amount. So keep the heat a little lower.
I don't use it that much, haven't had many projects lately. I mainly use my htp 221 and love that thing! Well worth the few extra bucks.
