i only ask because harbor freight has this tank on sale for $59 right now. it looks identical to the argon tank that is 89 its just the outlet looks to be inversed. i am assuming if i used a oxygen regulator it will work. thats if the gas place allows me to fill it with argon. the tanks thems selves are not labeled gas/oxygen.

if you already have one tank, you could get a dual regulator and not have to worry about a second tank.

a tank that size will run out really fast.

i use 125s for my purge. its a worthwhile investment.

as far as the tank size it wont get much use., until i am in a shop setting where i might use it every day this size will be ok. as far as mutliple tanks they will probe be different mixtures. tig/mig/back purge. should the backpurge be the same mixture as the tig setup?

id just tee off of your main argon tank over using that little thing

yeah, just T off the main bottle. i don't feel there is a need for a second bottle. you can just use a small needle valve to regulate flow for the purge line. that's what i do and it works. unless you are doing purge work all the time, it isn't worth the extra rental cost as well as regulator cost.

yea I just have one of those needle valve Y's with one port for the regulator and the other for purging

You can't use the bottle anyway, Oxygen cylinders have different valves. You would have to get a new one pressed in.
