5052 aluminum
Would 5052 aluminum be good for intercooler end tanks? I have welded 5052 before with ease. It's half the price at my local supplier. I'm talking about .125 thickness.

It depends on how tight a bend radius your bender does. It's tougher than 5005 and can crack along the bend if its a tight radius and if you're bending along the rolled grain line rather than across it.
I much prefer to use 5005, I find it's much easier to work with.
