Honda Accord 1999 LX Coupe. This car was my baby until I got an s2k, and I only can give my love to one car at a time. There is a lot of value in parts and performance here, but I don't have the time or energy to do a part-out. My loss is your gain.
This car has a H22A engine (from a CL1 Accord Euro R) with approx. 55k miles. At also has the T2W4 transmission which was bought separately from HMotorsOnline in 2014. Est. 42k miles on the tranny.
I have personally put a ton of work into this car: the engine has been rebuilt with new gaskets, seals, and piston rings. Compression numbers are 224 psi +- 5 psi *stone cold*. Head and IM has been lightly ported and polished and valves reseated. Runs like a boss.
Custom parts, work/maintenance:
-Leather rear seats
-Rear disc brakes
-Custom PVC CAI
-Megan strut tower bar
-Tein high tech lowering springs
-Koni yellow struts in the front
-Megan struts in the rear
-Custom-fit seat covers
-Extensive sound deadening, dampening
-Upgraded speakers and head unit
-Seibon carbon fiber hood
-All bushings and ball joints in the front suspension replaced.
-Timing belt, water pump replaced, 2013 with engine rebuild.
-New F1 racing stage 2 clutch, 2013
-Short throw shifter
-SS 2.5" catback exhaust with Magnaflow muffler
-Motegi FF7 17" alloy wheels with Cooper RS3A tires, 5k miles only.
-68mm throttle body.
Weaknesses:
--This swap is not BAR certified, so you have to be able to deal with that issue.
--There is a slight oil leak from the mean bearing seal which is not a functional problem, but is somewhat annoying if you have OCD tendencies.
--Slight dent in the roof near the windshield line. In 2013 the hood latch was broken by a hit-and-run-bad-parking-job which caused the hood to swing up on the highway and smash the windshield. It dented the roof slightly. The roof was repaired structurally, and I got a carbon fiber hood afterwards, but there remains a barely noticeable cosmetic dent in the roof.
