'99 Mustang GT FT/FS: cammed, suspension, built trans, more!
*NEW PARTS ADDED*
Name: David Fair
Location: South Louisville
Description:
35th Anniversary Premium GT, White 5spd, clean title
Body is ~115k, last owner didn't fix speedo when installing gears so odo reads 152k
Exterior: 8.5 out of 10 paint. It's a daily so it has some rock chips and light scratches
99 Cobra front bumper with bezels & fogs
99 Cobra hood
Smoked headlights
Hi/Lo HID headlight kit
Wingless trunk
Blacked out 3rd brake light
Niteshaded tails
Black reflective "MUSTANG" bumper inserts
Shorty antenna
Rolled rear fenders
Interior: 9 out of 10. Never smoked in, no rips/tears. Driver side seat bolster has some wear from getting in/out of car.
Two tone gray cloth
Autometer oil pressure gauge
Hurst shift ****
Pioneer speakers throughout
(Pioneer headunit pictured, car will come with stock headunit and CD player in excellent condition, installed)
Polished coin holder delete
Custom made gas pedal. Sounds cheesy but the stock plastic ones are notorious for breaking off so I had one made out of aluminum
Wheels/Tires/Brakes:
17x9/17x10.5 Anthracite Bullitts
255/45/17 Sumitomo's up front with 95% tread, 315/35/17's Nitto DR's in back, 90% tread.
‘03 Cobra front brakes. Brembo blank rotors and Hawk pads
New rear rotors and pads, slide pins were regreased (notorious for rusting and freezing up)
Suspension:
Front:
D&D tubular K-member and A-arms
Tokico D-Spec struts for Fox-body (shorter strut rod that allows better suspension travel on lowered cars)
QA1 coilovers, 14" 175# springs
New Maximum Motorsports c/c plates
Steeda Bumpsteer kit
Energy Suspension steering rack bushings
Rear:
Welded torque boxes
Maximum Motorsports non-adj. tubular lower control arms, poly bushings
Hustler Motorsports double adj. uppers, spherical bushings
Intrax springs
KYB 8-way shocks
Quad shocks deleted
Drivetrain:
2003 Explorer all-aluminum 4.6L SOHC longblock (Mobil 1 and Ford filter at every change), ~50k
C&L intake
K&N filter
Cobra MAF
Hand ported plenum & t/b
24lb injectors
Ford GT Supercar fuel pump
"Head cool mod"
Hi-tech Motorsports Stg 2 cams, degreed
Crower valvesprings, .600 lift capable
MAC L/T’s
MAC Prochamber
Full polished stainless MAC 2.5" catback
New Ford o2 sensors
o2 harness extenders for longtubes
Energy Susp. poly motor mounts
Fidanza Al. flywheel
Brand new Spec Stage 2 clutch
No Cash Racing built T-45. Full rebuild kit, carbon fiber synchros, bronze shift pads, machined billet aluminum shift forks. New Ford TOB and pilot bearing. 1200 miles on rebuild.
Hurst shift base with Pro 5.0 stick
Maximum Motorsports clutch quadrant
UPR double-lock firewall adj.
New OEM shift cable
Royal Purple trans oil
Polished FRPP Aluminum d/s
Metco 1-pc driveshaft loop (not installed)
FRPP 4.30 gears
Ford 31 spline trak-lok, freshly rebuilt
Strange 31 spline axles
Welded axle tubes
LPW Ultimate Cap Cover/Diff Girdle
Strange 3" studs in rear
Hubcentric spacers for skinnies to clear Cobra brakes
(Including Ford front hub assemblies with Moroso 3" studs installed)
Power Adder (recent purchase, not installed on vehicle):
NX Express plate kit for 2v modular
White nitrous bottle with pressure gauge mounted on bottle
Trunk brackets
AN lines
System activation and WOT switch
Purge kit
Carbon fiber fuel/nitrous/purge solenoids
Autometer fuel pressure gauge
AN fittings
Various jets
Tuning:
SCT XCal2 with custom dyno tune by Speedy Dyno. Car dynoed 295/316 on a very safe daily driven tune.
With some seat time it should be a 7 second car in the 1/8 easily. Cars with these cams and other mods as me have been doing 7.7-7.8's consistently. With the nitrous, on a safely tuned 100 shot it should easily be in the mid-low 7's. It's been my daily driver for the past 4 years and never left me stranded, I've taken it on a few road trips, never runs hot, even in traffic with the a/c on. a/c blows ice cold.
The car has had some paint repair on the driver side quarter, my stepdad backed into it last year, it was just cosmetic. I had it all professionally repaired at a local collision shop that handles high end luxury car repairs.
The bad:
Tint could stand to be redone. It's not all that dark, the windows have some scratches on it. Balljoint boots are torn, I have some replacements I just haven't gotten around to getting them installed yet.
Asking $9300 OBO with Nitrous Kit
$9000 without
Trades possible, something that has aftermarket support, good gas mileage, must be manual trans. No garbage please, I don't want a rusted EF and 2k so don't bother.

Bump! Would love to find a stockish 99-00 Si, 94+ GSR, or swapped hatch and some cash.

Ok? I see non-Honda's on here for sale all the time. Or people looking to trade for, you guessed it, HONDA's. Thanks for the bump though!
