'95 Accord EX 5-speed; Java Pearl, JDM/OEM, no-nonsense
**SOLD!!**
Whats up fellas. Up for sale is my '95 Accord EX coupe. I've spent a lot of time on this build, but I've had some life changes of late, so I'm ready to move on now. Just purchased an '08 GTI, so please no trade offers. Cash only, as I doubt it is possible to get a loan amount within the price range that I am asking. Please see the spec list and text me with any questions you may have. These EX 5-speed coupes are very difficult to find. Much less nearly completely restored examples such as this one. I have about 100 hours into the project this far. I do feel as though it is a few items away from a possible feature: H22; coils/stance, proper rims. Just ran out of time and money.
Asking $4,000 as equipped.
Location: Mooresville, NC; zip 28115
Please pass the word on and bump this post if you like the car. I would appreciate any help you guys could give. Hoping to find a GOOD owner for this vehicle. Dealership offered a trade deal, but was planning to send it off to auction. I would never let that happen. This is an enthusiasts build, and needs to pass onward to another enthusiast who will take good care of it, and possibly move the project forward further.
Thanks for looking,
-Daniel

That is an awesome price for this...great car for even a winter car....that mileage is NOTHING for those engines. My 91 accord with the same engine had 330k on it and was still running strong and smooth...the body of the car just rusted out. Love those engines for daily drivers. Good luck with the sale, man.

Bump it up fellas.
Have a what appears to be a sale lined up for this Wed. or Thurs. evening. The buyer is a Honda enthusiast, which is great news!
Regardless, still bumping up threads in case this sale does not go through...
Please spread the word. Want this to go to a good home.

Re: '95 Accord EX 5-speed; Java Pearl, JDM/OEM, no-nonsense
I will respond here as well, as per our text conversations on the topic this morning.
I build cars for enjoyment/creative aspect. You can search the net for OG Wagon or OG CRX or OG RSX or OG CD7. My usernames on various forums always begin with OG and then a chassis/car ID code of some sort. I have build around 8 cars in the last 10 years. All have sold. Some quick, some slower, depending on the economy.
Knowing "the game" and my own mind/personality, I come in to a build knowing the following:
-I'll typically will grow bored of a car once it is completed. I'm a builder at heart. So, once the creative juice has expired, my mind has genearally already drifted to another chassis/platform.
- I can either part out my builds sending them back to "stock form" or I can keep them as-is and wait for the right buyer who appreciates the car and what I have done to it. I always go with route 2. For one reason, I don't like having to do all of the work of taking everything back off, replacing with stock/OEM parts, and then trying to deal with selling/sellers to get my money back on aftermarket parts. What pain! Additionally, I see my completed projects as an artistic statement. They are stamped with my personality, goals, and vision. Taking them apart is counter-productive to why I entered the project in the first place. I don't want to leave the project by selling down a watered-down version of my creation to a (likel7) under-appreciative seller. So, I sell the vehicle As-Is, and wait for the right buyer. I understand that I take a loss: on my money; and on my time. I'm just trying to break even as close to what I spent/invested as possible.
- Bluntly, I purchased this car for a bit under $2,000. I have spent around 100 man hours. I lose that value. My gain for such: experience and fun. and perhaps a bit of pride/respect in the deal as well. Financially, I have about $1700 into the build.
-So, that explains the asking price. Whats wrong with giving people a deal? In todays economy, people are cash poor. Noone is going to be able to obtain a $4K loan on this car, with it's circa $2K KBB value.
So, I need a cash buyer, who has liquid cash, and appreciates well-modified Hondas. That's a rare buyer. So, I will wait. Hopefully not much longer, ha!
Timing Belt/Water Pump: I do not know, honestly. However, with it being at 160K on the clock, I have a strong inclination that this service was performed by a previous owner. I, however, cannot verify this in any way.
Hope this helps.
