Re: 1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
It was a single defense post.
Lol. Irony now. And to one of the previous posts, reading online text is very difficult to properly interpret meaning - for both parties.
Anyway, how do I get mileage certified and on the CarFax? Do I go to the dealer to get it inspected or to the DMV (same as Secratary of State I believe).
Lastly, let's say if you had a 20 year old car that was in the most rare-best-condition (albeit opinion, the mileage is the driving factor) in the world, would you simply sell for KBB? Well, you probably don't have a vehicle in that condition so how could you accurately asess this "what if scenario". Therefore this is my rhetorical thought provoking question for everyone who comes across this.

+1 for the successful troll thread. +1 for still hating with your 3 posts. I actually do have a car in the same if not better condition but I'm not asking 10k plus a left nut for it. Next time I take a $hit ill lock it up in some tuperware for 20 years and post it for sale and get back at you to let you know how the sale goes

Wow, haters gonna hate...
I know my boss has dealt with similar situations in the past, i'll pick his brain for you tomorrow and see if there is anything he can say about it. Though, in all honesty, he is going to say to take the vehicle to auction. That is the only way to sell, above kbb, quickly... just a forewarning. Ebay is ok, bit you might check your area for any local auction companies. Not only will they be able to tell you if there is a way to verify mileage, they might be willing to help you sell it. They'll want a cut, but it may be worth it to you in the long run. Just my opinion OP

It's pretty clear who's the troll. Only kiddies talk about fecal matter.
Additionally, your car is nothing like mine. You didn't post the mileage, it's a completely modded, slammed and abused del Sol. How is that even close to mine which is bone stock? There's no comparison. But you'll sell it, so good luck with your sale. There's no reason for you to come back to this thread and post.
Thank you for the suggestions others.

Re: 1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
Pretty tough crowd sometimes. My '93 Civic Coupe has a little over 16k on it. Has always been a toy for me and not a daily driver. I bought it new in March of '93, has never been out in the snow and hardly ever got rained on. Sometimes, older cars will just end up having low miles. It does spend too much time inside my garage, but that's the way it goes.
If I decided to sell it, I don't think I would let it go for KBB. Worth more to me perhaps, but a car that looks like it just came out of the showroom should be worth a little more.
Price might be a tad high for a non Si or VTEC, but if it doesn't have the body rust that's so common on this series of Civic, it could easily be a good start for a build. Not really that many del Sols left that would be this easy to turn into an Si or VTEC without rebuilding the whole thing.

OP, talked to my boss (a used car manager and appraiser for the past 30 years. He simply said that there is no way to know for sure. Carfax might help, but that there is no certainty. I asked what he would do if he had to put a price on something like that, he said he would offer what the kbb was as far as a trade, then he would just research it. Find something similar that HAS ALREADY SOLD and price it similarly. Good luck brother. If I were you, I would just go to as many sites as possible, start offering it up as trade. Find an offer that you can flip more easily for the money that you want, and go that route.

I'm getting a little behind on my plans to get the car posted on eBay. I'm still waiting for my photographer to have some time getting some professional photos taken. I'm hoping by the end of this weekend I'll it up.
Fun to see my car is making its rounds around the web.

I am not trolling or making fun of the post. I mean this with all seriousness.
12k is way to much for the car, its in excellent condition, best I have ever seen.
I would give you $6,500 for the car and I will fly out and pick it up so you dont have to worry about shipping. PM if you are interested.

Re: 1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
this car is beautiful - theres not doubting that, but 12k might even be a little steep for an Si VTEC model in similar condition and that could even be considered a collectors vehicle. For this base model Del Sol i think that $6500 offer is a very fair value. Good luck!

Car is going to be posted on AutoTrader and eBay soon. Just got some decent pictures taken yesterday and I'm only waiting on them being sent over to me.
Pass on the $6,500 offer.
Thank you.

My offer stands depending on where you are at what what a plane ticket would cost and if you would be kind enough to pick me up from the airport so i didn't have to rent a car. I would do $7,000. For that to happen, I would have to see every inch of the car before I flew out there. Good luck with the sell on eBay and AutoTrader but if it does not work out, PM for my contact info, my offer will still stand.

I'm not sure how you can say no to $7k?

Re: 1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
I just received the pictures and have to downsize them so they can upload on eBay.
readyjetsgo: I appreciate your offer, I really do. And if it did come to the point where you were the buyer, I would be more than happy to pick you up from the airport. And prior to that I would take more pictures to show you every inch of the car.
However, I have only reached such a small audience and I feel there is a little more potential in price than $7,000. So I will go the eBay route and see what happens in 10 days with it posted on there. It will be posted auction style with a start at $5,000 and it will have a reserve price. I will post a eBay link here when I get it up and posted. It will be up tonight by 11pm Eastern time.
Everyone should go to the eBay listing in order to see the higher quality photos. And as I said before, there are some scratches on the passenger side mirror and rear quarter panel. They aren't too bad, but they are there. In picture #5 posted on page 1 of this thread you can see the dent/scratch on the rear passenger quarter panel, albeit not that well, but it is visible. Those will be shown in the eBay ad of course. The scratches on the mirror are from people being careless when opening their door in parking lots. It's quite aggravating really.
If someone were to post an offer on here that I could not refuse then I would cancel the eBay listing, per eBay rules (not sure if it can be canceled if someone has bid on it, but prior to any bids it can be canceled).

Re: 1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
First pass on a good offer.
Then this:
"Buyer pays for all fees from Paypal and eBay (example: If price sold is $5,000 and additional fees from eBay or Paypal are $500, then total price paid by buyer is $5,500.00)"
Not sure if actually trying to sell...

Yeah I agree, I should take those fees out. It's more sensible.

Your first and biggest mistake was posting it on here. Too many **** heads. Delete this thread and post it locally on auto trader or something.

That's completely reeks of being a bitch.
