1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
Hello everybody! I've decided I want to sell my del Sol and I'm located in Michigan.
Posted on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/111476845534?forcerRptr=true&item=111476845534&viewitem=
Updated higher quality pictures located here: http://s1373.photobucket.com/user/he...0Del%20Sol%20S
This is the BARE BONES 1995 del Sol S, 5-speed MANUAL trans. Not VTEC or SI or whatever. It has power windows, but does NOT have power locks, does not have A/C, does not have cruise control.
However!
The car is in great condition and has ONLY (under) 9,000 miles!
The car is great, it runs excellent, drives excellent, works fantastic. It is my daily driver at this time and mileage will increase some. The things wrong with it are this: fuel gauge rarely moves and there is a scratch on the passenger side rear quarter panel and also the passenger side mirror has some scratches from careless people opening their door against my car.
I just want to sell because I am interested in getting something different. I like Preludes, Datsun's, newer Honda's, etc.
For sale: $12,000
PICTURES ARE UP! CARFAX IS UP! (IF YOU CANNOT SEE IMAGES, THE PASSWORD IS " Honda-Tech " )

I saw two low mileage Del Sols sell in my area this year.
Both were very clean Si's.
One had 24,000 miles and sold for $4,900.
The other had 55,000 miles and sold for $5,300.

Of course it SEEMS fishy - it's a super low mileage del Sol. Just look at it. But it is what it is and if you don't inspect it for yourself (you wouldn't anyways unless you were that genuinely interested) then you can doubt all you'd like. It brings joy to me to know the truth and not worry about the skeptics.
The only thing that doesn't work on the dash is the fuel gauge. A single gauge, not GAUGES. A little common sense will tell you that for a vehicle that had sat the majority of its life, in a garage that would hold the heat in the summer and hold the freezing cold in the winter, something is bound to not work exactly how its supposed to, particularly a needle gauge, one that hasn't been moved often. It's likely an easy fix.
The fuel pump and the main fuel pump fuse was replaced about a year ago because those stopped working, likely due to an accumulation of rust in the tank. Which is expected for a vehicle that is driven so infrequently. After those parts were replaced and it ran again the fuel gauge just didn't work after that. I could only suspect that the needle is stuck now. It does at very random intervals move up and down but then it stops working again.
Nonetheless, this del Sol has so low of miles simply because it was bought as an investment and therefore it sat in the garage for years, only being taken out and driven every now and then. It was around $20,000 new.
I will not post a Carfax for public viewing. We all know that if someone is interested they will go the extra step to get more information. And until I get someone that is genuinely interested and proves it, I will not provide the VIN number.
Glad you all have stopped by and have taken a look at it though!

Dude, really not trying to be an ***. Trust me, HUGE fan of the Del Sol. And would be on this thing like white on rice if I had the budget, and if I didn't have a Sol already parked in the garage. I really do wish you the best of luck, but was just trying to help you out with the sale man.
Sincerely, good luck,
Sincerely, good luck,

And it'll help anyone who calls it fishy. If it's true mileage, than it'll shut 'em up. If not, then, well, I would just call an ace an ace and be done with it. I just know that if I were to try and seriously sell a car like this, then I would do it.

Forgot to add that in my post.
Prove the people that are calling it "fishy" wrong OP

Re: 1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
I understand. And I really do appreciate it, but I dont think showing the carfax to people who arent interested in purchasing anyway should have to see it. However, it would be nice to have more support and let an "ace be an ace" as previously said. For that reason, I'll upload the carfax. It'll be on eBay soon, too.
Ill get my professional photographer to take pictures for me this time around. They'll be sweet looking pics.

Just let the ad ride bro and glws. But stop defending yourself from every hater out there, doesn't look good for you. And the carfax didnt help any because it does not confirm mileage. Only thing that stands out is the +240 from blue book which is 3300 so you got a 4k del sol more or less.
another free bump for you...
if you want to post other del sols out there put mine on this ad too as a comparison... could always use free publicity

Re: 1995 Honda del Sol FOR SALE 9,000 miles
It was a single defense post.
Lol. Irony now. And to one of the previous posts, reading online text is very difficult to properly interpret meaning - for both parties.
Anyway, how do I get mileage certified and on the CarFax? Do I go to the dealer to get it inspected or to the DMV (same as Secratary of State I believe).
Lastly, let's say if you had a 20 year old car that was in the most rare-best-condition (albeit opinion, the mileage is the driving factor) in the world, would you simply sell for KBB? Well, you probably don't have a vehicle in that condition so how could you accurately asess this "what if scenario". Therefore this is my rhetorical thought provoking question for everyone who comes across this.
