Default 1994 Honda Civic VX - EG/Hatch - $6250 Restored + tasteful mods

VIN: 2HGEH2378RH501490
Name: Robert Scauzillo
Location: Milton Florida (15 miles East of Pensacola FL).
Means of Contact: Email: slipstreampilot@hotmail.com; Phone (850) 450-3570.
Description: 1994 Honda Civic VX - EG/Hatch - Red.
Asking Price: $6250 or best Reasonable offer. I am not interested in trades.

I hate having to let this car go - but my divorce has forced the sale (I can't afford to own 3 cars right now). It was between this project car and my S2000…
More pictures can be seen at the following Craig's Listing:
http://pensacola.craigslist.org/cto/4298203888.html

Here's the details:
1994 Honda Civic VX - Federal version (lean burn), NOT the California version. The VIN checker shows it's the California version, which means one of two things - the checker is wrong or someone went through a lot of trouble to covert this car to a Federal emissions VX (Federal ECU, wiring harness, correct D15Z1 to include an original L1H1 LAF sensor that was just replaced with a LZA09). Original odometer showed 129,000 miles.

Runs Great and has an updated EPA rating of 50mpg highway and 39mpg city! Original EPA rating was 55 mpg highway and 48 city.

The following is the list of recently replaced parts/repairs/improvements:

- Recent paint job (2 1/2 years - car was garaged 99% of the time with less than 200 miles driven during lengthy mechanical restoration over that period) - OEM red color.

- NEW (and correct!) NTK/NGK 24300 (LZA09) LAF (Wideband O2) Sensor ($350+ at the dealer).

- Ultra lightweight Enkei RPF01 15" wheels with Firestone 195/50/15" tires (80-85%). Also comes with the OEM super-light 13" VX wheels.

- Synchrotech high performance rebuilt transmission with correct OEM VX ratios (cost ~$600).

- NEW left and right CV half-shafts.

- NEW Exedy Stage 1 (OEM equivalent) clutch.

- NEW Exedy forged Chromoly steel flywheel (10.8 lbs).

- NEW throwout bearing, pilot bearing, all hardware to include bolts, clutch actuator arm, slave cylinder, stainless steel braided clutch line, rear main seal and carrier, transmission and motor mounts.

- NEW starter.

- NEW timing belt, tensioner, water pump, cam seal, front main seal, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket.

- NEW distributer, coil, rotor, Magnacore spark plug wires, new OEM Honda "redbox" Iridium spark plugs. Valves just adjusted.

- NEW OEM style radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses, all heater hoses, OEM Honda blue coolant/anti-freeze, and replaced several vacuum lines.

- NEW Pace Setter 2.5" (OEM quiet) exhaust.

- NEW KYB adjustable struts and springs, Energy Suspension master urethane suspension bushing kit, Skunk 2 front and rear adjustable camber kits.

- Rear disc brake conversion (4-bolt - 4X100 CRX) - Integra rear calipers with stainless braided lines. Reman Integra brake booster, new Integra master cylinder and used 40/40 proportioning valve.

- PowerStop powder-coated front calipers and ceramic pads, cryo-ed StopTech discs, stainless braided lines.

- Integra black leather seats (missing cover for rear lower seat bench). Center arm rest and double-DIN capable center dash console (difficult to find OEM accessories).

- Rebuilt instrument cluster (previous owner installed junk'indiglo' gauge faces and damaged the original gauges doing so). Civic Si cluster modified with VX tachometer and upshift light module. A lot went into the rebuild and it looks factory new.

- New windshield, carpet, and hard to find new OEM floormats.

- Sony CDX-M9900 CD/Receiver with Cerwin Vega VMag component speakers (Magnesium 5 1/4" woofers, 1" silk tweeter). Ran wire for an amp when the carpet was installed (4 gauge positive, RCA and remote on). Power not connected.

- New AGM battery.

- Aftermarket projector headlights installed (replacement OEM headlights that are in good shape are extremely hard to find, and the original stock headlights are in good shape - they also come with the car).

- Spare or other parts that come with the car:
Electronic copy of the factory shop manual (and an electronic copy of the Acura Integra factory shop manual - due to the Integra brake parts installed), OEM rear hatch area cover, Si rear hatch glass (with wiper motor and arm), Spare Federal (non-California) VX ECU, programmable ECU, JDM power + folding mirrors (no switch), spare used 40/40 proportioning valve, spare driver's side airbag, spare gauges and cluster parts (left over from instrument cluster rebuild), DX tilt column, power steering pump, OEM cruise control (steering wheel switches, computer and throttle body controller assembly), Civic HX head and intake manifold, power steering delete/recirculate kit (if you want to install a quicker ratio Integra Type R steering rack without power boost), most OEM interior and exterior parts that were replaced, and any other Civic related items I find (it all has to go).

Serious offers only please. I am selling the car due to divorce. The car runs great and the complete restoration effort is essentially 80-85% done. The car is a perfectly reliable daily driver - is fun to drive, and would be an excellent go-fast project car (if for some reason you don't want a car that gets 50+mpg on a bad day). Paint and body are a solid 8 out of 10 (only a few minor scratches), interior is in great shape, and the car is mechanically sound.

I think I clearly posted "Or best REASONABLE offer", not "random low-ball offers". $2200 is not reasonable and clearly a waste of both of our time.

Bump for a car that has been done the right way. Unlike half the cars on here that are trashed by kids.

Man, wish you were closer. I'm looking for something like this or a clean Crx. Trading my Rsx Type S for one. Major problem, you're in Florida, I'm in Oregon.

Beautiful car man (or woman). GLWS

Don't do drugs, mmmkay? Do you have any idea how wrong your number is? Go look at some other hatchback listings; you can buy a nice, properly built car that has 10-15k into it for what you're asking.

@tothewall just because his build isn't your ideal build doesn't mean you have the right to bash on his thread. A car is worth what a buyer is willing to pay. I paid well more than KBB for a stock, low-mileage, well maintained 2001 GSR. Did I overpay? No, it was well worth it IMO.

The OP has a rare car that seems to have been well cared for. If you'ore not interested in buying his car, the please don't post in his thread. Period. If you are interested in his car and feel he is asking too much, PM him to try to work something out.

the only honda's i've owned were eg's, and i have always hated one piece headlights. yours however have changed my opinion, they look clean and tasteful. bump for a nice looking car, i hope you get close to your asking price!
