tranny stuck in gear
hello everyone its my first time here, will try to make it short and clear....i have a 1996 civic with 160 000km. i was driving and when i shaift from 3rd gear to 4th gear i eard a stange noise like a blade sawing blade goins thru wood!!! the result my tranny is stuck on a gear probably fourth one....ican still start the car but cant let the clutch go as the tranny is stock on a gear and i cant change it not even in reverse....my shifter bushing has been loose for a while now so my stick was loose and sometime it was hard to put in gear.....in the last days before it got stuck when i was putting 4th gear in i could alway ear a small noise like if the gear was screetching before going in....any clues as what i shouyld do?? if i change the tranny does it come with a clutch and all???or its 2 different part??i am not much of a mechanic but i like to know my option before going to a garage

The clutch is a separate part. It might still be good, it might not, most would recommend replacing it anyway due to relatively low cost of a clutch vs the high labor cost to get at it.
The transmission sounds like it suffered catastrophic failure of some kind. Used transmissions can be found relatively cheaply, but you may still want to have it looked over before installing it.
