This anti-OBX rhetoric won't be frustrating once you see how crappy they are first hand. I'm anti OBX because they are plain and simply crap, I'm against Quaife (through Autotech) due to their crap customer service and against their new distributor as they cranked up the price on them for no reason.
Feel free to purchase an MFactory LSD and OBX LSD so you can compare them side by side. All you have to do is hold each and shake them, all you'll get is silence from the MFactory. I didn't even get that with Quaife.

http://www.quaifelsd.com this is the new site for Quaife. Please inquire on pricing.

As far as the warranty, Quaife does not offer a warranty in the US and they never have. The warranty program was setup by the US distributors and the distributors are the ones taking the hit on any warranty issues.
The new distributor does offer lifetime warranty on any Quaife differentials purchased through them. Due to it being a distributor based program Im sure you can understand why the new distributor will not honor the warranty sold through the old distributor.
Quaife is a superior product and its quality cannot be compared to any other company. The amount of r&d and quality standards needed to get into the OEM markets is what makes Quaife the company that it is today. You dont see any other companies supplying OEM, there is a reason for that. Quaife gets 1 to 2 warranty claims a year for the tens of thousands differentials that it sells and almost all of these are install error.
I am in no way bashing you or your product, I just want the facts to be out there. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Funny how you say it cannot be compared when it already has. Have you had a Quaife and an MFactory LSD side by side? I have.
I purchased through a current Quaife dealer, price was increased. This was an old stock diff through Autotech, not the new US distributor. Autotech is only holding up their warranty if they have parts in stock to fix or replace the Quaife. Luckily Wil at Exospeed had the diff I needed, otherwise I would have been SOL.

Just wanted to say what you just confirmed is all. The new us imported is not hiking the pricing up, the retail is still $995 and if you get the dif from any authorized Quaife dealer this will be the retail price.
As I said in my last post i am not attacking you or your product, i am mearly starting facts and you mentioning a price increase or the fact that the new importer is not honoring warranties on Quaife is by no means true.
There is no price increase on Honda Difs and there is still warranty on Quaife purchsed through the new importer.
As far as which product is better, I will let Quaifes 40+ years of experiance and customer satisfaction speak for itself.

tokarz: Please stop advertising (yes, you are, you are just masking it with long sentences).
Are you attacking our product? Probably not. Although you did say "Quaife is a superior product and its quality cannot be compared to any other company".
Well, Aquafina has compared both products side-by-side, and he has had his fair share of Quaife LSD's in his hands, so it is safe to say that he knows what he is talking about when it comes to "Quaife Quality" for their Honda LSD's.
Quaife is a good product, but there most certainly are comparable products on the market.
As for the warranty issue, you basically just confirmed what Aquafina has said all along.
P.S You really should change your Website Title. It still says CARBONETIC LSD & GEARS SUPPLIER lol

tokarz is right though...You can't be fresh out of the box and claim your product is superior to everything else that's out there.
But from an MFactory parts user/installer, this has actually been the case with MFactory(superior parts fresh out the box)

Aquafina, I've only gotten one FD from Kiwi, interest has kinda dried up with tranny work, esp. with the OBX going to junk.
I was hoping for some SCCA interest, hopefully the MFactory LSD will be a hit with them.
The economy isn't helping either.
Personally, I'm about done with building trannys, been lucky with OBX installs and FedEx shipping.
Now should I pay for parts to fix my Kaaz or just buy a MFactory LSD????? Likely fix my Kaaz, sell it to a SCCA racer (35 or 40mm setup) then buy a MFactory which is more suited to drag racing.

yes, but cheap gas won't help if you don't have a job/income.
I went thry this 4 years ago, I'm quite prepared.
Small company I work for also delivers for DHL. I got a call two weeks ago right after they annouced they were pulling out. Scared shitless but the call was that my route picked up two new customers.
WHEW!!!!!
