newish clutch issues

Icon3 newish clutch issues

Hi, ive been searching all over the net to try find out whats wrong with my clutch. Wondering if any of you guys could help... please!

So, I had the mechanic buy a new clutch kit for my b18c. They installed it 6 months and less than 7000kms ago.
Lately the clutch is feeling loose. It doesn't feel like grabbing at take off and sometimes I need to give it more gas than usual. When changing gears it is difficult to do smooth changes. (makes me feel like a **** driver)

Now when I kick the clutch and try to do quick changes, it just sounds like i'm riding the clutch, I did exactly the same before the clutch felt loose and everything felt all good, so i'm sure its not my driving.

I took it to the mechanic yesterday and he said it was fine, cause it still stalls, if the clutch was slipping the car wouldn't stall. Well that's what he said anyways. But I can feel something is wrong.. just don't know what!!

Help please!

The clutch you have chosen does not fit your seemingly "abusive" driving style. Use a pressure plate than can handle the load, and a clutch disc to prevent burning of the material.

When you do this, be prepared to break other parts, torque breaks stuff. Axles, mounts, etc.

cheers, yeh i wantd heavy duty clutch but the mechanic said there was no point. learnt my lesson!
ugh, driving is an expensive hobby!

Lmfao the mechanic says if it stalls the clutch is good??? Good lord thats bad. My bug with a stock 40hp engine had a slipping clutch. I drove it up a steep grassy hill and thought the tires were slipping but it was the clutch slipping. And yes, the car would still stall if you dropped the clutch

The engine produces very little torque at idle, and is by no means any "test" on the holding power of the clutch.

Some vehicles (Volkswagen in particular) cater to drivers that have limited experience driving a clutch. As the engine RPM drops, they will increase idle air and fuel to prevent a sag in engine speed, and make the transition smoother. Just something to be aware of.
