lsd ys1 vs. y1 trans??

Default lsd ys1 vs. y1 trans??

ok i just put a lsd ys1 trans in my b16a crx and in 5th gear 65mph im at 3krpm and when i had my y1 trans in 5th gear 52mph im at 3krpm so i dont know if i have a real jdm ys1 i no it has a lsd cause its not an open diff... So i just wana know from other people with any cable bseries trans how fast are you guys going at 3krpm?? how close are the y1 and the ys1 lsd?? and also my trans dont have a lsd stamp on it so idk if that means anything?? if anyone can help me out thanks!!

you have a much better transmission now, your fifth gears are almost identical, but your old y1 has a longer final drive which is what gives you the lower mph. The YS1 LSD is very rare, and if you can find the stamp its on top of the casing, next to the coolant temp sensors on the head, it is not printed, it is engraved.

sounds to me like you have a USDM LS YS1 trans. 3k at 65 would be around 3200 at 70. That's LS 5th. If you had a GSR/JDM YS1, you would be turning around 3700 at 70. Did you actually look in your axle hole to make sure the trans is really an LSD? I'm betting you have a USDM LS YS1 with open diff. Yes, an open diff will grab both tires when going straight...

ya im sure its lsd i can see thru the trans...i no its usdm cause the gears are way too long way too long. i think he just put a factory lsd in cause i looks like he opened the trans. And no there isnt a lsd stamp.

ys1 lsd's are NOT engraved.. they are stamped with ink

how are you at 3k at 55. not doubting you but my y1 isnt at 3 k at 55. my s1 is at 3k at 55.

i have y1 on my trans right next to the engine staped b16a.
