JDM B16A auto trans OBD1 vs OBD2?

Default JDM B16A auto trans OBD1 vs OBD2?

With the lack of information out there on JDM B16A auto trans, I need some information from you guys, if you have it.
And before we start, dont come in here saying that auto trans suck, it's for my wife and it needs to stay automatic.
What, if any, are the differences between the OBD1 B16A M24A auto trans and the OBD2 B16A ???? auto trans?
Would I be able to use the M24A auto trans in a 99 civic LX auto trans running OBD2?
Would I be able to use the mounts that I have on the M24A sitting in my basement?

Urg, you have no idea what you're in for. If you're really lucky the B16A automatic ECU wont use a seperate TCM (I can tell you for a fact that the JDM B18Cs do) but you still have to deal with mount issues. As far as anyone can tell JDM and other overseas civics equipped with an automatic used a different chassis. Even if you have the JDM mounts there are still clearance issues (and if you don't have the mounts and brackets be prepared to fab up your own, if you have mounts for a '92 - '95 civic they definately wont work). An automatic B-series tranny requires cutting a notching the passenger's side frame rail. Also be aware that if you have to pass emissions it quite literally can't be done legally in at least most states as there is no USDM automatic B16A ECU.
