Default Cleaning Tranny: Carb Cleaner VS Brake Cleaner?

So i searched but nothing real concrete...

I replaced my main bearings but am afraid some dust/dirt might have gotten in.

Should I use Carb cleaner instead of brake cleaner? Will one or the other dry out my bearings?

Thanks guys...

Brake cleaner usually leaves everything very dry, but cleans better IMO. BUT you should be lubing everything up when you throw it back together so it shouldn't matter.

Upon assembly, most people prelube shafts and bearings, etc. I usually use Redline assembly lube on all needle bearings, ball bearings, etc...everything but shafts splines, where the hubs are pressed on.

If I don't hot tank a case, I'll just use amsoil powerfoam cleaner, hot water, and compressed air. Water is your best cleaning solution once the oil is out

Walmart carb cleaner is the cheapest, but Autozone carb cleaner works better.

I hate screwing with carb cleaner. I use brake cleaner, water and compressed air. And pre-lube is definate key.
