I'm told the EK cable and shifter works fine, you just can't manually downshift into first. BTW, if you are planning on swapping this into a '96 - '00 Civic I would seriously reconsider what you are doing, it is infinitely easier to go with a 5 speed manual, even if the civic was previously an automatic.

hi, yes the swap is already done. its just i drove home on the highway and it seemed like there was another gear missing, the tach was at 4,100 rpm and i was going like 63 miles an hour. so that`s why im thinking that it could be a 4 speed. that`s why i bought a 4 shifter today from ebay from a integra, and the shifter cable from a integra at a junk yard. thinking my d16y7 shifter wont let it into a higher gear like d4. i thought maybe it was in d3 on the highway, thinking that`s why the tach was high. when i had my d16y7 on the highway my tach would be around 3 in d4.

Again it is a 4 speed, and the integra shift cable and shifter isn't going to help you (the integra shifter also fits like crap, the only real right way to do it is to get an overseas shifter from an EK that lets you manually shift into first. In any case assuming B16 automatics are geared anything like B16 manual transmission 4100 RPM sounds about right.

hi, how many quarts of tranny fluid does it take to fill my b16 auto tranny. i did a swap and i just wanna dump what my mechanic put in, and put some honda fluid in. that way his fluid would clean whatever was in it before the swap. thanks everybody

Already answered this in the other thread you started, you really don't need to start multiple threads asking the same questions.
