About to get a new clutch, please help.
Hey guys, I am about to get a new clutch kit installed and found this online.
Exedy Part No. 08022 - OEM Replacement Clutches
Im running stock everything so nothing fancy is needed like a stage 2 or anything higher quality. Just looking for a nice stock clutch kit for average driving. Is the clutch kit in the link a "good" brand that will last? Ive heard of Exedy before just no idea on the reputation.
Thanks.

Actually, have any of you had any issues with the Duralast clutch kits found at Autozone ect? I kinda need it fast and my local store has one in stock, I can't really afford waiting for shipping because of work

The exedy oem replacement kit is not quite as good as the factory exedy one. The genuine honda disc and bearings are nicer.
Exedy makes the factory clutch. But the factory/dealer parts are usually held to a higher standard than ones available in the aftermarket.
However, I've never had a OE replacement exedy kit fail. I've installed tons and tons of them on my cars and other people's cars. For strert use on a close to stock car....they're great.
The duralast kit is awful. Stay away.
On rockauto.com, the exedy kit should be right over $100.
Get the exedy kit. It's better than any other aftermarket oe equivalent kit.

Exedy and FCC made many of the oem clutch kits. Both are very good quality, exedy is much more available and widely known. A fine choice for a replacement.
