Default water pump leaking from weep hole....

well after putting my head back on and getting it running i noticed that i needed to put some more antifreeze in. i just thought that it was just working out the last little bit of air out of the system. but then i noticed that it was leaking from water pump. im guessing its comming from the weep hole so i need to replace my pump.

my question is am i safe driveing it for the next three day untill i get the new pump and timingbelt in the mail.

no because if water gets on your timing belt, you can snap your timing belt. thats what happen to my stock motor, water pumped leak, timing belt snapped

i thought the weep holes prevented it from getting on the timing belt?

I certainly wouldn't drive my car leaking coolant, but that's just me. Are you even getting enough coolant circulation to keep it from cooking?

I suppose if it's a tiny leak and you're certain you're getting enough water pressure then it probably wouldn't hurt anything. The real danger is that the pump will seize, strip a few teeth off the belt and well I think you know what comes next. I'd just park it and not take the chance myself, but I know that's not always a realistic option.

Water really does not effect the timing belt in anyway, oil does. More then likely your water pump seized and thats what caused the belt to break. Anyways fix the pump before you drive it anymore.
