to any cylinder head experts,what brand and/or model of the two machines mentioned will be good (value for money)..preferably for b series head

A couple heads a day or a year? Value depends on volume.Old valve grinders and seat grinders were never designed for Honda's small stems.The HALL/TOLEDO is slow but does a good job for the money.If you can't afford a high quality valve grinder then pay someone with one to grind them,or just buy new valves.A poorly ground valve will ruin any other good work.

if money not a concern..which will you recommend for honda head?

Sunnen...My SGM1500 seat and guide machine was $37,800 without the tooling figure another $1800 for all the tooling to do the honda stuff.
and the valve refacer will set you back another $3500 if you can get one used. And another $130 for the tooling to use it with the 5.5mm stuff.

Or you could just get your stuff done at a machine shop, it's alot cheaper.

I just started a Yahoo Group for the Hall-Toledo Model EJ Eccentric Valve Seat Grinder. I have 7 PDF type manuals for this machine that I took the time to scrub and clean to make them like new more important readable. These manuals go back as far as the 1940's and a few from the mid to late 1950's and some from the 1980's. I also found some wire tag type cards that were more than likely fastened to it when it was new, those have been scanned to a PDF format as well. These documents are provided free of charge.
