Unsolved Problem?b20 vtec
Heres the problem a lot of people have tried to fix but can t find a solution. The car dies everytime I make a stop. Heres the set-up:
b20 block
bore 84.5
Super tech pistons/ 12.5 comp
Stock rods
Old school gsr head i think (pr3-3)
Super tech (valves,springs,retainers)
Skunk 2 - Stage 2 cams
Stock b16 camgers
RC 310 injectors
Stock fuel pump
Aasco flywheel
Compleate Hyper Clutch 4-puck
GSR Tranny/ATS 4.9 final drive/Spool
Well thats the whole set up, a couple of local shops have tried to fix it but they cant find a solution to it. The motor doesnt have more than 20 miles on it, every since the motor was built this problem has happened. The car hasnt been tuned, right now its running on a chipped p28 and obd2 wiring harness if it matters. I would appreciate any kind of help from you guys. If yall have any kind of question, please feel free to ask. Thanks

Obviously you have spark and fuel. Try checking all the electrical connections, grounds and so forth. Do you have a fluke? Try a continuity test. Maybe something is coming lose. Sorry I cant be of more help. Goodluck.

Is it getting enough fuel with the chipped P28 ECU? Does it startup and idle nice, or does it shut off after idling for a while. Cause I had this proble with the car shutting down after idling for a while; found out there was a small vacuum hose not connected on the back of the intake manifold. And also one of the sensors was connected the wrong place. . . I think its the TPS and MAP. . .check those connections.

Check valve adjustment. Tight valves will cause a bad map reading and stalling. Depending on what year car it is(assuming 92-95 civic) youll be able to mointor the map reading through a scantool. If the valve lash is ok to spec according to Skunk, check that your IAC valve is working properly. If not replace that and perform idle relearn. Make sure noone has touched the screw under the throttle body. This is a cheap method of adjusting the idle and will throw base TP sensor readings off thus causing a stall. At idle TP readings should be around .45 closed car off key on. I need a little more info on car/year to diagnose further.

I really appreciate all the help u guys have giving me, every bit of info yall give me its really helpfull.
I've been told that the head im running its a itr head, the idle screw its not under the throttle body but on the side, we have messed with it but the problem it still happens, the previous car that was running this head had the same problem and thye use to play with the screw until the problem would stop, but we have tried it and it doesnt work
What kind of extra info do yall need???

how does it stall when stopping.....clutch in and the revs drop right down?
if you blip the throttle while not moving will it drop down and stall also or will it just idle fine? does the idle bounce up and down allot when you blip the throttle before settling down to the correct idle speed?
i think i know what your problem is depending on how you answer some of my questions but i wanna make sure.

does it feel like a fuel problem, does it choke a little, then idle drops? Reminds me of a clog fuel filter, maybe the chipped p28 is running way too lean or rich.....So when your at a stop, the air/fuel ratio is all off....

are you getting any CEL. check your sensors cause my map sensor was bad and it kept dying out. It might sound stupid but check your bolts on the intake manifold cause my friend once put in a Skunk2 manifold but didn't tighten all the bolts and his car kept dying and once and tighten them all, the car started.
