Default uneven brake pad wear

What would cause severly uneven pad wear on only one pad? The rear passenger side inner pad was worn down all the way to the squeal shim on that corner of the pad, then sloped up to match the thickness of the other pads at the other side, while the rest of the pads including the outer had plenty of pad material on them and were wearing evenly. The brake hardware looked fine but I replaced it anyway. Is this an indication that I have to rebuild the calipers?

Gory details: 94 Integra F/R brake assemblies on 92 Civic, 1 yr old (but 25,000 mile) Metalmaster pads F/R, OEM or knockoff rotors I can't tell, worn evenly but nearing their minimum thicknesses. SS lines, ATE Superblue fluid. Wilwood adjustable proportioning valve set up by a pro.

Default Re: uneven brake pad wear (shaundrake)

Two things come to mind..
1.Caliper piston sticking,=rebuild or replace caliper..

2.Caliper guide pins "frozen.."

The calipers should be able to "float"
or move in and out on the bolts/pins they are mounted on

If not properly lubricated,the caliper
can become locked into place and cause some strange problems..

when you pull them apart, clean the pins REAL good with brake cleaner and a rag. do NOT use a wire wheel, because it'll take off the anti-corrosion gold coating. then use Dow Corning 111 or Honda Silicone Grease. you might also want to use a rifle brush to clean out the holes the pins go in on the calipers.
