couple of internal trans questions
I will be redoing synchros in my trans i have been studying for awhile and im about ready to try it on my 00 itr trans.
1. what makes a trans difficult to go into reverse? sometimes its slightly difficult.
2. if I have type r trans do i have to buy the entire countershaft assembly and all that just to run the 4.7? to replace my 4.4?
3. is there anywhere i can buy a set with everypart i need to do the synchro replacements?
4. my 2nd gear only grinds when trans is hot. when i pull it part, about how much teeth that have been grinded down before i know if the 2nd gear needs to be replaced or reused?
im about ready to do this i just needed more information to my questions.

I'd like to know what makes all honda trannys hard to throw in reverse from nuetral.
I want to make my shifts smoother and fluid, what can i do to accomplish this?

Well the answer to your first question, it is because there is no syncro on reverse. Due to the lack of the syncro the meshing of the idler gear and reverse gear tends to be somewhat rough.
