Is it possible to bend valves turning crank by hand?

Default Is it possible to bend valves turning crank by hand?

im changing my timing belt and i just want to know is it possible to bend valves by turning the crank by hand, it felt as if the pistons hit the valves at one point and wouldnt turn , but then it did?

Yes! It is possible I know someone that did that before. I Always take the crank off tdc a bit and line the cams up first. Perhaps you are mistaken for valve spring tension?
