Default plug order on distributor for y8?

i was taking off my wires on the distributor and i forgot to remember where all the wires went on the distributor cap. Does anybody know the order for a d16y8 distributor? Also does the plug that plugs in farthest from the distributor count as 1 and then starting from the right go 2,3,4? or is it 1,2,3,4 starting from the left?

the cylinders are numbered from the front (timing belt side) to the back (tranny side) 1-2-3-4, and almost ALL four-cylinder engines fire in the same order, 1-3-4-2.

It goes...
1 3
2 4
In that order. if you need to, set your cam at TDC take off the cap to your distributor and look at where it is pointing to, and that would be your number one. good luck

yeah.

it depends too, both of ours are not *exactly* right, if you turn chictunner's numbers a little to the left and mine a little to the right since the distributor spark plug wire inputs are a little 'angled', 3 is mainly on top and 1 is towards the back.

yea so i guess technically you both are kinda correct. I guess its just hard to write since they are angled. I guess 3 is an easier way of doing it.
