Icon6 P72 obd1 ecu with obd2 injectors no resistor box?

Ok ive read thru so many threads about obd1 conversions on an obd2 but i have a separate question. Now i have a P72 obd1 ecu now i know with obd1 injectors i have to use a resistor box. but since i do not want to use the resistor box am i capable to use OBD2 saturated injectors instead?

OBD1 and OBD2 civic and integra injectors are saturated, no resistor box needed.

similar situation for me. i have a 91 prelude (obd1) and am getting ready to drop my h23vtec pde engine in. what i want to know is if i have my engine harness made to run this engine with all of the items it came with can it be done without the use of the injector resistor box that the car originally came with? i also have a p72 with s300 installed for this car. this engine is equipped with pencil type injectors and i don't know the flow rates but was informed by several other members that they do have better flow characteristics. i can't seem to find a clear cut answer on this.

i thought obd1 started in 92. yes it can be made to run without the resister box but the question is, is your injectors high or low impedance and what cc are the injectors

IIRC Preludes and Accords went OBD1 a year before the rest.

The pencil type injectors are the stock H23A1 injectors. If you are unsure about the impedance you should check the resistance of them.

If they are low impedance (peak & hold) and you want to run the car without a resistor box. You would need to buy high impedance (saturated) injectors. The OBD2 Preludes came with 290cc saturated injectors, you could run them.

since the engine came from an 01 euro r accord i was under the impression that it is an obd2 vehicle which does not use an injector resistor box. my prelude is obd1 and currently does use the resistor box. all of the searching i have done on the injectors here and elsewhere have turned up no results. i will meter the injectors today after work to figure out the impedence, however i am 99% positive they are saturated due to the year of the vehicle it came from.

In that case, drop the box!
