Nitrous, whats better? Wet or dry shot?
I'm looking at going for a fairly small shot for my Mustang and I'm wondering whats better, a wet shot or a dry shot?
I've been looking up on Nitrous and its telling me that a Dry shot shoots the Nitrous and just the nitrous, then it adjusts so the fuel injectors Compensate for the Nitrous being added
Then it goes on to say that a Wet shot is just all around easier to install but the Nitrous and fuel to Compensate for the Nitrous come out in the same place in the Intake Manifold, but a problem with that could be a puddle could build up and you could get a backfire into your intake.
It sounds to me like a Dry shot is better but I've also heard that I should go with a wet shot. I'm thinking about this and wouldn't a Wet shot make some cylinders run leaner then others?
I'm all confused...

No, direct port will do that, not wet shot. There are wet single foggers, those give worse distribution than dry single foggers.

Alright, the Dry shot would be the better way to go, but the thing I read didn't go much into direct port nitrous. What would that involve and how much does that cost?
I always used to think a dry shot was simply just putting nitrous into the engine without messing with the fuel.

you are right dry = no fuel added. Wet is the way to go!! period!!
as for DP. it is a bit mroe expensive, because you have a wet system that utilizes 4 of the nozzles, 1 for intake runner. you have more equipment and more work to isntall, but it gives you the best distibution of fluids vs a standard wet sytem. Even better and even more $$ is the Nx nozzle system...

Well, what really really worries me about a Wet system is the fact that its going to get fuel on my Intake Manifold, I don't know about you guys but my Manifold is plastic! One good backfire into that baby and I'm screwed!

plastic??? really i would picture it would be aluminum. but if i were you i would go wet and if you have the cash direct port it is more acurate.

Wrong.
Dry= fuel added through injectors
Wet=fuel added through nos solenoid and fogger or foggers
They both add fuel. Nitrous has to have fuel to make power. The difference between wet and dry is only how the fuel is added.
