my car won't turn over and it's not the battery, *Please Help*
so last night i started driving my car and at about 3500 rpm's in first it felt like it wasn't gettin any fuel and was sluggish but ran ok the rest of the trip. then when i went to start it again it would turn over but even when i tryed to jump it it wouldn't start. now it just doesn't even turn over and i checked the fuel pump and line and they are ok and put a new battery in and that did nothing. any suggestions?

so it doesn't even crank? could be your starter, but that doesn't explain the sluggishness

just hit it a couple of times and have someone inside try to start it to see if turns over.

i have to agree with the starter...
just hit it a couple of times and have someone inside try to start it to see if turns over.

Make sure all cabels to starter are tight...I recently changed my clutch and I didn't do what i just sugested. I had problems starting and it was all because the main power cable to the starter was loose.

it could be a number of things
-Broken, loose or disconnected wiring to the starter
-Starter motor pinion jammed in flywheel ring gear
-Bad Ignition
-Starter pinion or flywheel teeth worn or broken

it was the coil in the distributor, never would have guessed but glad to have it fixed

did you ever test the battery or just going by the fact that it wouldnt start on the jum start... it might not have been giving enough power through the jump to start it ....
