LSVtec disapearing CEL?
I've been having a few issues with my fresh built ls vtec. b18b block gsr head obd1.
Check engine light comes on once I hit around 7000rpm, vtec engaged at 5000. CEL stays on, until I turn the car off. Once the car is shut off or restarted the CEL is gone. I've tried to plug the jumper while the engine was running but it didn't do anything.
The engine also dies out once warm, the idle will bounce between what looks like 300-1000rpm and finally die out. No CEL when this happens though
I'm not sure where to even begin here

What do you mean it didn't do anything? Light stay on? Never come on? What ECU? Stock? Chipped? In what car?
You've not given up enough information.

p72 ECU chipped for 5k rpm vtec, no o2 sensor, and 8k limiter.
It's a 93 civic hatch, the CEL would just stay on steady if I tried to jump the harness, disappeared once I turned off the key

Re: LSVtec disapearing CEL?
why in the hell would u delete the O2 in your tune? that prob has ALOT to do with your fucked up idle and wanting/dying out. my guess is that your prob is with the 02 and some sort of ign/fuel cut due to O2
