keyless entry remote not working after battery replacement
my remote was runninng low on battery, so i took it out and went to buy a new one. the remote was left alone with no battery overnight. i bought a new battery, put it in, and it doesnt open my doors anymore!! i think my remote lost its memory, so i went and followed the instructions on handa accessories to reprogram it. it didnt work. im sure i followed it correctly. tried it many times but no response. i didnt drop or damage my remote in anyway when i took out the battery.. i bought the car used so i only have 1 remote.. cant test with another
any ideas?

Make sure the red light is coming on when you press a button. Also make sure you didn't put the battery in upside down. Bent contacts can also make the remote not get power from the battery.

You said you're sure you're reprogramming it right. It shouldn't have lost its memory, but just in case, what procedure are you using to program it?

Those directons are right, except I turn the key all the way off, instead of the 'I' position when entering the programming mode. Not sure if either way works, can't hurt to try.
