jdm ITR Oil Change????
This might sound really stupid but yes im going to ask. oil change on a jdm itr....I hear honda reccomends 5w30 but...i asked 1 of those guys at a parts store if i should use 5w30 or 10w30 which iam currently using. they said use 10w30. i checked up sum sites and they say they use what honda reccomends which is 5w30. i need an honest answer from sum 1 that really knows. also, are u supposed to fill up the new oil filter half way with new motor oil???? or would that just be a huge mistake???? sounds a little iffy. but then again im new to this. all help is appreciated. THANKS TO ALL!
ALSO. how many quarts to a jdm b18c? 4 or 4.25 quarts????????

Re: jdm ITR Oil Change???? (Fresh[EK9])
How many miles are on the engine, if the engine has like 100K or more on it than id switch to a thicker oil, because the clearances will be getting bigger. If it has less miles I would just stick to what Honda reccomends. You are actually supposed to fill up the oil filter some, this helps the engine build oil pressure back up fast, so that when you start it after the oil change you arent running for a few sec without oil pressure.

i always fill my oil filter about halfway when i do the oil on my car. i think it helps the car circulate oil more quickly the first time you start up.
