Default Ignition Coil Test results question

2000 CRV with B20Z2 at 137,700 mi. Tested the igntion coil (part of a rough idle and timing issue diagnosis). Primary winding showing fluctation between 0.9-1.3 ohms (64° air temp). Manual I have says replace if not between 0.63-0.77 ohms (@ 68°). What say you folks?

BTW, Secondary winding ok @ 15.6 K ohms (spec 12.8-19.2).

What issues are you having? I remmeber checking mine as you have and the specs were slightly off as well. With the secondary in spec. Mine runs flawless Maybe try another test at the 68 degrees?

U have to subtract the internal resistance for the primary test. Touch the leads together and it should be .01

Your results look fine.

Ohm testing a coil is about as useful as kicking the tires. If the coil ohms out bad,its bad.If it ohms out good,it could still be bad.

On a modern vehicle such as yours a scan tool is the only sure fire way to a quick and accurate diagnosis.

Otherwise you could be testing sensors up the wazoo looking for a fault....

Yeah, the coil is fine. Ohms testing with a MM is only good in some situations. Thanks folks!
