How to reset the computer to clear OBD II code P1456
Hello,
I want to know if there is a way to reset yourself the computer system of Honda civic 99 model to clear the P1456 error code.
P1456 Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) Control System Leakage (Fuel Tank System)
My car failed the smog functional test due to this code which started showing up when I forgot to put the fuel cap. But now its there, still the car computer doesn't detect it.
Any advice is welcome.
Thanks
Sumit

Another method is to pull the 15 A & 7.5 A fuses at the top left of the fuse box.

Its the cable attached between your battery and the frame....usually about 8-10" in length.

To clear the codes just pull the second fuse at the top of the underhood fuse box. I thinks it raio back up or something like that. 30 seconds and the code should be clear unless there is actually a problem like a deformed o-ring in the gas cap.
