I was thinking of cutting a piece of 2x4 like half of it 81mm so the piston will sit in it and i can use the 11mm socket to press down on the wrist pin to push it out. Im just trying to save some coin places around here want $60-80 to take off and intall pistons. I got access to a press.

Take your time and get a good fit between the piston and the base your pressing against. If your tossing the pistons it's not as important, but if your going to reuse them it is critical.I heat the rod to assemble them. You only need a light straw color, you don't want it glowing red.

you can do that...take your time and make sure u have a hole in the wood for the wrist pin to fall through...yea thats a usual price for a machine shop to remove n reinstall pistons..basically a hour labor
