HELP!!! Stripped Allen Head Bolt and Loctite
So I was taking apart my Wilwood rotors and I somehow managed to strip the heads of two of the stupid allen head bolts, one on each rotor.
None of the other bolts gave me any trouble at all, but these two decided to give me hell. To make matters worse, they are torqued with red Loctite and have seen lots of heating/cooling cycles.
What should I do to remove them? I've tried and impact, vise grips and several other allen head drivers to no avail. I was thinking of drilling into them a bit and using a screw extractor, but I don't think the Loctite is gonna play ball that way. I also thought about that Craftsman bolt remover, but theres nothing for it to really grab onto.
I can't use a torch cause I don't want to harm the hats and ruin the anodizing or warp them. I'm really at a loss here guys...
Any help would be stupendous!

does the bolt sit flush? if the head sticks up you may be able to cut a groove into it and use the impact driver+ flat bit. Similar to gettin a tps off, it has worked for me on some tough ones

Well, it does sit quite a bit above the surface, but the allen head is 5/16" across, so I don't think a screwdriver bit would be wide enough for that. The sides are also really thin and have holes drilled in them for saftey wire so I'm worried they might shatter. It might be worth a shot, though.

I don't want to chance ruining the hats, cause they are $125 each!!! Even if I were able to remove the loctite, the heads are still way stripped...

Re: HELP!!! Stripped Allen Head Bolt and Loctite (rapid_roy)
OK, I heated it up with a MAPP torch, drilled it slightly and tried to use an extractor. Seemed like it loosened a bit, but then the ******* head of the bolt snapped right off! Now, I have only 3/8 long stud to work with. I tried the extractor again, but no luck...
Any more advice? Please!!!
