Default HELP! Instrument Gauge Cluster Not Working Fuel Water Temperature Temp Speedometer Tach Tachometer S

Hello Everyone,

I did a search already and have come up w/ Hazard Fuze, Fuzes, etc. etc.

This is what works:
Battery Light
Signal Lights (When Hazard Light button is pushed)
SRS Light (Since my airbag is disabled)
Dimmer Lights (When Headlights Are On)

This is what doesn't work:
RPM Gauge (Tachometer)
Speedometer
Fuel Gauge
Water Temperature Gauge
Oil Light (When starting the car it usually comes on)
Signal Light (When trying to signal left and right)

I checked the fuzes under the hood and under the drivers side, and none of them are blown. I replaced my gauge cluster, and it's the same problem so it's not the gauge cluster.

I have a 1992-1995 Honda Civic EX Coupe.

Any other suggesstions?

If you have the haynes service manual, i would dig in to your ecu wiring and start checking voltages for each wire, sometimes a blown resistor can lead to those problems and a blown resistor can be caused by something as simple as some water getting in to your ecu, from your AC evapartor or a leak even...

just a thought...

Can't really comment on 92-95's, but on 6th gens, the odometer, speedometer, tachometer, engine temp and fuel gauge all share a common power feed. In the under-dash fuse box, its a 7.5A "Meter" fuse.

There was a 7.5A fused I checked in my 5th Generation Civic that looked good, but I'll double check that again. It's nice to know it comes from a POWER FEED. If I knew which wire it is, I could bypass it directly to the battery to find out if that's the problem.

Did you ever find what caused your problem. Because I'm having the same one!

Check your grounds I can't say which one from sure but my friend had the same problem. He also had a power feed pop off the back of the fuse block on the back talk about a PITA to diagnose.

My culprit was the fuse box. There was a short inside. If your problem is exaclty like mine, you can either replace the fuse box, or just bypass that fuse and run a new line from the accessory with your own fuse.
