Help with Converting D15 to VTEC
So, I have a non-VTEC D15. It seems pointless to buy the same motor with VTEC and waste a grand. So, can I just replace the head/block with a VTEC head/block and good to go?
I'm not sure if that's right though.. Lemme know what I need to do or if I got it right!
I understand that the head/block doesn't have to be the same as mine EXACTLY. As long as it's the same series.

Not worth it. Thee are better places to spend your money. Swapping that head and keep the long geared transmission you have is an absolute waste.
YOu should learn to search a little better. This is not a new topic.

The head will bolt right on. Theres a plug on the block that you need to remove for oil flow before you bolt the head down. Its on the top of the block inbetween number 2 and number 3 cylinder. Towards the back of the block. Then run a couple wires for vtec and get a p28 ecu.
