you won just throw in a turbo lol.
you need to pick either NA or boost. and you will need to throw in few 100 dollars for tune also if you want engine to run to full potential even with intake and exhaust.

buy whatever you can afford if you want a plain swap

just make sure to include all the acessories and other parts needed for swap because you dont just "throw an engine in a crx"
for which there are plenty of informational articles just check the faq section to start off it has alot of swap info

and you should at least find out how fast those bullys are before buying an engine to compete with them and finding they are still faster than you

so this doesnt happen:

well, in theory.. they could.. but not as a daily that you'd want to drive.

if you want something to beat srt4s and evos and stis, go buy an srt4, an evo, or an sti.

first thing to think about is ecu u will need a jumper if ur still obdo and u need to find a tuner ask youre friends for who is best in youre erea youre tuner will tell u what typ of ecu u will need most likely just a chipped ecu wich he can probly do himself as for taking out srt4,s a built turbo d can do that and sum find a used d block forged rods and piston research research resaerch 300hp+ is reliable in this aplication another option would be b20/b20vtec turbo 400hp on stock internals is capable

He's already mentioned a $2,500 dollar amount. Not gonna happen past a simple swap.

You should reconsider about B20 V. In my town $1,500 and you get a complete GS-R motor. If you want power, built turbo is the way to go. Unless you wanna go cheap, stock GSR with stock internal and boost, gets you about 230whp around there. If you want to be on the safe side, Low compression pistons, upgrades internal and you'll be 400-500whp. that's the way to go. Good luck!

You're not doing it with only $2,500.

Just to give you an idea, I spent well over 2.5 on my b20V swap not including labor, and it probably will only make 220hp on a good day.
If you are looking for an all motor setup that will be both reliable and fast, expect to pay a lot more than 2.5k
