Default F22A6 Engine stalls athe just over 4000 rpms.

HI so I've been having this problem for a few weeks now. Car starts up fine. Idles a bit lower than usual and runs a tad rough it feels like. But after I get on the throttle until it goes just over 4k rpms the car will stall and sometimes sputter first. It will literally go from 4200 to zero instantly. It will start right up again though. At first I saw one of my sparkplug gaskets for the valve cover was leaking oil onto one of the plugs. Fixed that and it's still stalling. Check engine light isn't on either. Any suggestions as to what be wrong??

CEL works but isn't on?

may be going into limp mode for some reason.

I've seen a partially clogged catalytic converter do something similar. it would be worth it to drop it down and take a look inside.

Remove the oxygen sensor to see if the cat is plugged as hondamark has suggested to allow exhaust gas a way out and see if it cuts off over 4k still.
