Default Engine has low vacuum

My engine has low vacuum, how can I fix it?
Setup: B18b with Crower 404 cams, JG/Edelbrock intake manifold, Holley T/B
Je pistons, Eagle Rods, Crower Valvetrain, etc.
Thanks for any feedback.

I don't remember what it was, but I had a technician at my work look at it and he said he was surprised it was even running. My car doesn't idle for ****. I don't know if it's related to the low vacuum.

those cams are pretty big so it will have a lumpy idle and vaccum its gonna be low at idle.

has the engine ever ran with the propervacum? usually low vacuum at idle is caused by severly retarded ign timing or cam timing

Well when the car wants to idle it's lumpy which is normal. But the car very rarely idles. The timing stock. It's not advanced or retarded. Is there something I could add to make more vacuum?

you could make it have more vaccum by putting the stock cams back on

your running 404 cams and want vacuum??????

"Stage 3 - 3/4 Race, recommended for mostly strip. Requires 84162 kit and ECU mod. 1100 to 8200+ rpm, lope at idle."

3/4 RACE??? Who here knows THAT terminology??????

you wont make more vacuum unless you install stock cams........you can save vacuum with a resevoir like used for V8 street machines with power brakes. Yes, ECU's usually like to see a better chip to run with the bigger cams. these arent like the 2 in 1 cams for Vtec motors with small and bif lobes......only thing i can suggest is to increase the idle with the screw. Call the cam manufacturer and see if these are suppose to cause this type od idle.

The thing is that I was under the impression that my car would still idle with these cams...just lumpy. But my car don't idle at all.

'idle' is relative - crank it up. probably won't smooth out until the advance catches up a bit and you've got some vacuum (12-1300 rpms). ought to be real nice at the other end.
