Default Difference in Timing Belt B16A, B16A1, B16A2, B16A3

Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the appropriate section to post this in.
I have done search but couldn't find anything to answer my question.

Is there any differences in the following in terms of timing belt for B16A, B16A1, B16A2, and B16A3?
I'm buying a timing belt and some places state its specifically for a B16A2 and B16A3.

I have an ODB1 B16A Jap Spec motor and doing full service ie. Belts, Water pump, tensioner and seals and what not.

Just want to confirm before I purchase the belt, water pump and tensioner.

I would assume they are all the same correct? Unless there is extra teeth on the pulleys and so forth.

Thanks Heaps,
Mike

Since you have the answer,I suggest you look on www.rockauto.com for a timing belt component kit.It has all three parts, and ran me about 85.00 for the whole kit.Just performed the "Major Maintenance" on my CR-V.

Ok guys, correct me if I am wrong...

The 1991 Integra B18 engine uses a Gates T184 belt, which is 125 tooth

The 1995 Del-Sol B16A engine uses a Gates T227 belt, which is 124 tooth

How can you say the are all the same??

1999 Civic with B16A DOHC engine shows to use the T224 belt which is narrower and only 104 tooth.

I personally have seen all 3 engines and each belt is different, so how can you say they are the same??

He saying all B16/B17 are the same as each other. The B18A/B18B/B20 are the same as each other. The B18C/B16B/B18C5 are the same as each other. Not that all of these are the same.

You might want to check here again. T227 is for the B16A2 and A3. The T224 you listed is for a SOHC application on the 96-00 Civic as in the D16Y8/Y7/Y5.
