I just picked up a 01 EX 5 speed and when I switch the vent to defrost the windshield the A/C light comes on and when I press the A/C button it wont turn off unless I take it out of the defrost selection.

Anyone know what I can look at here?

A lot of newer cars do that. In most cases, its faster to defrost the window with the A/C than using the heater, unless its freezing inside your car too.
