Chipped p28 and scan tool problem
I just put in my jun chipped ecu in my integra ls before I do my vtec conversion to test out the ecu and the honda pgm scan tool can't communicate with it. I also noticed a poor idle and surging at low rpm, closed throttle deceleration. Will that go away with the vtec head? Is anyone able to use the Scan tool with thier chipped p28s? It does not have any trouble codes other than the vtec solenoid/pressure codes which were expected. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Chipped p28 and scan tool problem (tegmaniac)
I have a Kenji chipped P28 and it wouldn't work with a scan tool either. When I first started the car the idle was a little funky. My friend (honda mech) said let it idle for a few minutes and wahlah after about ten minutes it corrected itself and idles great.
