Check Engie light comes one then turns off when I restart.
This has happened to me twice in about 2 weeks.
I went to start the car as it was cool (not operating temps), and the engine light came on. I cut the car off emediately, and turn the key to the "on" position. Pull the carpet up to check my ECU for codes....NOtHING. I start the car. No Check Engine Light.
Would a sensor cause this? My idle is unusually high and I cant control it b/c I dont have the adjusting screw. I have an aftermarket TB made by BBK. Someone said my TPS might be bad??? but if that were the case wouldnt the light stay on at all times?
MY ECU is PR3 for my 1st gen B16. ANy help is greatly appreciated.

Next time the light comes on, leave the car running and check for codes. Sometimes on the older ones they get erased when the key is turned off. (though their not supposed to)

I have the same problem with my car, I would be driving on the freeway and my light would come on, and goes away after turning my car off. But mines due to the fact that im using the afc hack I believe, and I am almost certain its the map sensor. In my case it shouldnt be a big deal right?
