I would def. check out all the vacuum lines and check for leaks. Possibly going to a shop and having them do a smoke test on it. There is also the carb cleaner test that you can do on it but to know for sure the smoke test is the only way.

http://www.keek.com/!TSYMbab this is what my car is doing know when it hits 1500rmp when i hit my iacv nothing changes and when i disconnect my iacv the rmps dont drop so this mean a bad iacv right? But why does it sound like its hitting rev limiter

the rev limiter sound you're getting could be a bad sensor or sometimes a bad vacuum leak like Wolb said. Is the motor OBDII? If so have you plugged it up to see if you're getting any codes?

I cant get any cel cuz the guy that had it before me did something to the ecu so it wont throw any cel which is making this trouble shooting that much harder .... I have already check for vac leaks when i cover the top hole in the tb it shuts off so i dont think its a leak... I took iacv off and cleaned it with carb cleaner guess it just bad am change it... The car is obdII with a p28 with a jumper harness

Same problem with my MR2 MK1, does yours stutter after a few seconds and die out? It was something to to with the temperature or the idle. Its fine now as the idle control valve needs to be set right. dont know where it is in the EK's engine but you'd need a flat head screwdriver to turn it.
