Can I test a fuel pump with a multimeter?
Since I don't have a fuel pressure gauge (yet), is there any way to test a fuel pump with a multimeter (ohms)? Thanks.

We had a fuel pump problem on one of our CRX racecars and found out that the voltage at the FP was around 10.6 volts. We thought there might be a wiring issue so each connection was checked and while we found some corrosion on one connector, after cleaning this connection still only netted us about an additional volt at the FP. So we changed out the fuel pump and the voltage went up to 13.5 -13.7 volts at the FP. You can expect about .75 to 1.0 volt drop from the alternator to the FP under normal conditions. We also checked another CRX and also found 13.6 volts at the FP. After the fuel pump was replaced we had no problem maintaining 54 psi of fuel pressure. Before, it would start out at 54 psi at idle and then drop to 40 or so psi at WOT. Hope this helps.
