Default B18C Idle Problem-Please Help!!

Hi everyone, I have a 96 DX that Ive swapped a OBD2 B18C GSR in. It’s a pretty mild setup. It’s basically bone stock except for a few bolt ons. It has Skunk2 Pro Series 1 cams, cam gears, valve springs and retainers, HKS exhaust, ARC intake, etc.

I am running a OBD2A ECU (P72), and a Chase Bays CM1 harness. The car runs, but idles rough. It surges pretty bad and idles from 1100 to 1400 rpm when warm. I’ve cleaned the FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve), IAC (Idle Control Valve), adjusted the timing, adjusted the idling screw on the throttle body, made sure the harness is correctly connected, etc. The only check engine light Im getting is code 11 (99% sure). I believe this is a cooling sensor code.-No biggy

I am using an Edelbrock Victor X manifold (4760), and Im thinking that I have a vacuum leak or something is not connected. Can someone please give me direction on which lines are supposed to be connected to the back of the intake manifold? Ive searched and found little to no information.

This is what I have: (still some things to tidy up)

1. FPR
2. Plugged
3. Brake Booster
4. Plugged
5. Plugged

6. MAF Sensor

7.Plugged
8. Plugged
9. Plugged

There is no code 11, pull the code with a reader or the paper clip method and post it. Also you'll need to do the correct idle adjustment, there's a write up in the FAQ.

Had a similar problem with my b18c R .. Turned out to be a bad ecu. Try swapping out ecu first.

Hmmm, ok. I did the paper clip trick. Im trying to post a video of the CEL flashing. Ill get it up soon...(thats what she said)

Also, I called Chase Bays today and told them the situation. They said they had a similar problem and for me to check the MAP sensor. He said he replaced the MAP sensor on one of his cars, and it fixed his problem. I'll try this tomorrow.

Thats a strange looking flash, almost like code 2 (2 quick blinks). 11 would be be one long and one quick. I'd try a friends ECU and see what it does.

that's code 20. ELD and Electrical Load detector. Check ALL your fuses. I don't know much about them besides they are in the underhood fuse box
