ARP torque specs? Help please
I am trying to put my motor back together and I need to know the proper Torque specs for the mains and head studs. the part #'s I find online dont match what is seen hear on ARP's web site. http://www.aptfast.com/ARP_Add...s.htm
I got the ARP-208-4601 B16 head studs ( I think these are the ones I bought for my LsVtec b16 head and b18b1 block)
ARP-208-5402 main studs
thanks for you help as I want to get started on this tonight.

Re: (Combustion Contraption)
I need the main spces also. I think ARP sets the torque specs based on what it takes to stretch the bolt 75% of its tensile straingth and both the main and head studs are rated at 190,000 psi so the torque specs have to be the same or really close. the only vairable I can think of with that logic is the effect of the length of the bolt.

Did you have have the block machined to accept the ARP mains?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I bought pistons .020 over and when it was bored they used the ARP bolts, I also had the main caps cut and align honed back to spec. good input tho thanks.

what torque did you tell te machine shop to torque the arp's to; meaning to be able to hone the mains round again?
you are asking what the torque for the main should be...

I gave the machine shop the studs new with the instructions . I also used a dial bore tool to check if it was out of round. Now I have to wait till Tuesday anyways because my dumb *** made a snap ring for the piston shoot across my garage so i have to get a new one and I will just call ARP then. I will post up the specs for people searching H-T's history later. thanks for the help anyways tho.
