We usually torque the head bolts down to 75lbs with molly lube, try and do this in at least 4 steps.

He's telling you the specs he posted above are right out of the ARP instructions.

Did you have have the block machined to accept the ARP mains?

I need the main spces also. I think ARP sets the torque specs based on what it takes to stretch the bolt 75% of its tensile straingth and both the main and head studs are rated at 190,000 psi so the torque specs have to be the same or really close. the only vairable I can think of with that logic is the effect of the length of the bolt.

I bought pistons .020 over and when it was bored they used the ARP bolts, I also had the main caps cut and align honed back to spec. good input tho thanks.

I gave the machine shop the studs new with the instructions . I also used a dial bore tool to check if it was out of round. Now I have to wait till Tuesday anyways because my dumb *** made a snap ring for the piston shoot across my garage so i have to get a new one and I will just call ARP then. I will post up the specs for people searching H-T's history later. thanks for the help anyways tho.
